Museum Night is your passport to art!
Join us for a night celebrating the artwork of our amazing students! The inside of the school will be transformed into a museum, displaying the year long efforts of the ArtSmart program.
There is no cost to tour the art installations.
Our theme for Museum night this year celebrates countries throughout the globe! Children will each be given a special passport that they will have stamped at each of the “countries” represented around the school. Saugie is also traveling the globe and will be hiding in certain corners of the world – spot him if you can!
ArtSmart
ArtSmart is a PTA sponsored, parent run program that has a long, positive history in the Westport schools. The goal of the program is to teach students about artists and art forms by using an inquiry based discussion followed by a hands on activity exploring the artistic topic further.
Each class assembles a team of parent volunteers who plan and then lead the discussion and project. The program culminates in the spring with Museum Night where each class displays one of their ArtSmart projects from the year, turning the halls of each school into a virtual museum and celebrating the artwork of every student in the school.
